Fees & Insurance
My fee is $200.00 for a standard fifty-minute session.
If you have insurance, you will likely have a co-pay.
Because I’ve found that a longer “intake” session allows us to better explore matters – particularly with couples and families – our first session will be ninety minutes. There is no charge for this additional time.
On the other hand, to avoid being charged for missed appointments, it is essential that any arrangements to postpone or cancel sessions be made with 24 hour notice.
IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE:
Please check with your insurance company to verify whether you have mental health benefits and whether I am in their provider network or the network of one of their affiliates. Often insurance companies’ mental health services are provided by an affiliated entity with a different name and procedures.
Other basic questions for you to ask:
How many sessions am I allowed per year?
What is my co-pay?
What, if any, is my currently applicable deductible? (Medical expenses may have reduced your policy's current year deductible.)
If your insurance company’s provider network does not include me, does your policy cover psychotherapy with an out-of-network provider?
WHAT INSURANCE DO I TAKE?
I am currently an “in network” provider for the following insurance entities:
Aetna
Blue Shield
Blue Cross/Blue Shield (“The Blue Card”)
Carelon
CHIPA / College Health
ComPsych
Health Net
Humana/LifeSynch
